Position Description

The VP of Product Management role will support the Head of Product in strategy and is responsible for the development and implementation of integrated strategies for a Zayo product. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of product development, innovation, profitability and drive competitive pricing / positioning and bundling strategies for the Zayo portfolio. This role will directly influence how we make informed decisions throughout the Product organization and refine execution around our product overall strategy.

Responsibilities


  • Establish a framework to support go to market strategy and execution, responsible for product lifecycle, roadmap, innovation and evolution.


  • Develop a strong team to drive growth, profitability and values while formulating a vision and strategies for solving the future needs of current and future customers.


  • Own and effectively manage customer, sales, market, and engineering input for the development of objectives and requirements including associated use cases, problem statements, and personas.


  • Lead and perform key analysis of product performance and related upstream and downstream elements to provide key insights into ROI.


  • Develop objectives and KPI's to drive product success.



  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and finance to develop offers and sales plays.


  • Communicate with and develop relations with industry analysts


  • Strategically manage key sales opportunities, recommending solutions that both drive business demands and support the product roadmap development


  • Function strategically and tactically to ensure that organizational objectives are met, and priorities are aligned to desired outcomes.


  • Work across the entire product line life cycle, from strategic planning, day to day product development activities, new product introductions, and end-of-life activities


  • Ensures on-scope, on-time, and on-budget delivery of the product portfolio objectives, including business requirements definition and prioritization, driving cohesive end-to-end solutions


  • Serves as a critical business leader in the on-going evolution of the company's ambition, strategy and execution of priorities and driving innovative product solutions.


  • Understands the technical aspects of the product not only from a product solution perspective but also from a systems perspective including service delivery and service assurance.


  • Works closely and consistently with peers in Information Technology, Architecture and Engineering across multiple value streams including the validation, design, development and launch of products and services


  • Determines strategic investments and responsible for annual budget performance and outcomes.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science business or equivalent; MBA preferred


  • 7-10 years of experience in a Product leadership role building products in the $100's of millions in growth.


  • At least 7 years of experience leading product management teams


  • Established and tracked performance of market-level pricing strategies, with the goal of identifying and exploiting revenue opportunities in a highly competitive environment


  • Excellent communication skills; both verbally and written. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization across all departments both internal and external.


  • Strong leader with proven ability to build and lead teams


  • Ability to collaborate and form partnerships with business and technology colleagues.


  • Experience in product management of a SaaS and or cloud-based software products,preferably SFDC Reporting/Dashboards, Einstein (Tableau), Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Jira, Aha, Agile, SOQL and SQL


  • Experience developing a personalized user experience based on user's behavior expectations

    • Base salary range in CO: $170,000-$230,000


    • Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) - Full-time Zayo employees are also eligible for discretionary AIP which is based on the performance of the Company, an employee's business segment, and the individual employee
