Responsible for the enterprise's workplace violence prevention program and provides leadership on the enterprise's pandemic plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads the enterprise's workplace violence prevention program, monitoring cases and trends to address systemic issues, updating workplace violence training on a regular basis, and reporting results to management.
Provides incident plan review and major plan development with the goal of creating the safest possible environment for FedEx employees, ensuring minimal business interruption and the highest level of preparedness possible for conducting effective post-incident business recovery activities.
Provides leadership focused on ensuring seamless interface among the contingency planning activities of the FedEx business units and operating companies.
Performs ongoing risk analysis, vulnerability assessments and recommends risk avoidance and reduction strategies, overseeing employees and vendor/contract support.
Provides leadership on the enterprise's pandemic plans, works with partners across the enterprise and outside consultants to develop and implement those plans and provides expertise during a pandemic event, to include assessing types and quantities of Personal Protective Equipment that are needed and making sure they are deployed timely wherever needed.
Provides guidance during a pandemic event in conjunction with CDC and WHO guidelines and consultation with medical experts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent, preferably in Security management, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.
Five (5) years of relevant experience, to include workplace violence, law enforcement, corporate security, contingency or related planning background
Knowledge of workplace violence preventiontechniques. Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) Certified Threat Manager (CTM) preferred as well as affiliation with ATAP and criminal justice affiliations.
Successful completion of required and recurrent training programs.
Excellent investigative skills.
Strong communications, human relations, management, planning and organizing skills.
U.S. Government Security clearance (must obtain after hire if candidate does not currently have).
