The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Identify and lead process improvement projects for integrated systems, manufacturing, and reporting
Manage and administer the system software to integrate the applications and databases
Integration of execution systems to discrete and continuous process control systems
Maintain overall application and network architecture for EHS operations
Develop and manage software to support the regulatory and operational requirements
Manages and administers the industrial computer security systems to meet 3M Policy
Directs activities of outsourced technical resources for multiple key systems design and support
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of SCADA/HMI programming experience (FactoryTalk SE, Wonderware, iFix) in a private, public, government or military environment
Five (5) years of Process Controls (Continuous, Batch and Discrete) experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role, but are not required include:
Experience interfacing to a LIMS such as a Labware
Experience with Converged Plantwide Ethernet (CPwE), Rockwell Stratix and Cisco Industrial networking
Knowledge and experience with programming packages Java/Eclipse, JBOSS, Apache Tomcat.
Analytical tools such as SEEQ
Drawing tool such as Visio or AutoCad
Reporting package such as Business Object or Reporting Services
Operating Systems: Windows Server, Red-Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Travel: May include up to 10% (domestic)
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
