ICBM Subject Matter Expert - MM III and GBSD at Applied Research Associates, Inc

Job Description:

The Analytical Solutions Division (ASD) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., has an immediate need for a full-time ICBM Subject Matter Expert with a strong background in MM III requirements development and test analysis support.    The successful applicant will support AFGSC A5I directly.  Applicant must have a strong understanding of the current ICBM weapon system, the ICBM mission, ICBM operational procedures and processes and experience in the test processes and procedures and requirements development.  Previous assignments at AFGSC, 20AF, AFOTEC and Top Hand desired.  The ICBM experience must capture test, analysis, requirements development, validation or operational support to MMIII and or GBSD. This position requires strong technical background and engineering analytics skills.  The successful candidate will be able to provide significant support for MMIII and GBSD to translate weapon system and customer requirements into program documents.  This position also requires the ability to provide critical review for system development, test analysis and possibly anomaly investigations and technical support for AFGSC.    Applicant must be able to provide administrative support and development of position papers, white papers, briefings and development / validation of requirements documentation. 

Required Skills


  • Possess advanced skills and experience in ICBM weapon system specialty.

  • Possess advanced skills and experience in ICBM developmental Test and Evaluation requirements.

  • Very strong working knowledge, experience and thorough understanding in MM III unique operations and be able to translate those into GBSD operations.

  • Have a strong working knowledge and experience with coordination of test plans, sequence documents, performance reports for ground and flight tests and requirements and milestones for developmental testing and validation. 

  • Ability to provide developmental test / validation analysis support in defining system capabilities, system scope requirements and identifying trade space / mitigation planning.   

  • Have deep and broad range of experience in ICBM Modification Programs.

  • Have a thorough understanding of the ICBM SD, MAJCOM, AFOTEC and their roles in DTE, OTE and test operations. 

  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous assignments.

  • Organization and time management skills.

  • Demonstrated excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:


  • Possess a T/S security Clearance / able to be immediately upgraded   

  • A minimum of 15 years of ICBM experience

  • 5 Years headquarters (MAJCOM, NAF, SPO) staff experience (direct labor or direct interface) with 3 years within the last 5 for currency.

  • Eligible for SAP, CNWDI, RD, FRD and NC2-ESI access.

  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must be available and willing to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
