Assists Accountant and other accounting and finance staff in assigned areas including:  financial reporting, analysis, general ledger maintenance, provide additional coverage as needed in accounts payable and ability to post and deposit misc. cash receipts.  Applies recognized accounting principles (e.g. maintains, records, analyzes and processes accounting and financial information and records, income tax, budget data and/or cost accounting data).

Education and Training

Associate’s degree in Accounting or enrollment in an Accounting Bachelor’s degree program. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirement.

Experience

Three (3) years financial office experience including accounts payable processing, general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, audit work-paper preparation and budgeting preferred.
