Nurse Aide Assistant/Feeding Assistant

We are looking for compassionate, loving hearts to assist our residents at mealtimes and with appropriate tasks.  8 hour Paid Feeding Assistant training course is provided on-site, 8 hour nurse aide training is available on-site.  The hours are flexible, and they center around meal times.  This opportunity is perfect for people who want to explore the field of nursing, or people who want to become certified nursing assistants.  It is also perfect for people who want to help ease the work load on direct line caregivers, in the fight against this global pandemic.

Responsibilities:

• Assist appropriate residents with meals and hydration


• Utilize correct techniques when assisting residents with meals


• Employ Infection Control procedures


• Assisting CNAs might include: tidying a resident's room, helping a resident with grooming (combing hair, etc), emptying the trash, transporting a resident to and from therapy or an activity, walking to the kitchen to get a meal preference, tidying the work space, making the resident's bed, walking to the laundry to replenish linen, etc.

The qualified person for this position should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and respond appropriately to resident's behavior.  This person will also be a self motivated individual, and able to complete tasks with little supervision.

Pay is 9.50 per hour.
