UST is looking for a SQL DBA to work in customer applications and to work with one of the leading automobile parts manufacturing providers in US. The ideal candidate must possess excellent knowledge on SQL DBA area. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability and collaborate effectively with customer stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Installation, Administration and Maintenance of SQL Server Instances that include SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014/2016/2017/2019
Database related technical trouble shooting
Database/Server monitoring and performance tuning
Migration of SQL Servers from SQL older versions to new versions like SQL 2016/2017/2019
Setting up Development, Staging and Production environments
Designing database Backup and Restoration Strategy
Monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Jobs
Creating and monitoring jobs for automated daily tasks like backups, checking database integrity and consistency, rebuilding index, updating statistics
Creation and Maintenance of Databases, Assigning Roles and managing user permissions
Planning, configuring and supporting High Availability features like mirroring and log shipping
ITIL process - Maintains SLA, implementing Production changes, attending change management calls and Problem management calls
