We are seeking an Office Assistant to:


  • Produce photo ID badges for all employees at UW Health and grant access and privileges to multiple security card access systems.

  • Provide visitor screening and production of visitor passes at American Family Children’s Hospital. This includes maintaining a list of visitor restrictions, dealing with complex visitation and custody issues and at times dealing with challenging or uncooperative individuals.

  • Monitor and respond to the department email inboxes and perform time sensitive data entry.

Education:

Minimum – High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience:

Preferred – One year of experience in an administrative support role

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to present oneself in a professional manner

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize workload to complete projects with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position scheduled Monday through Friday, from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. No holidays required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
