Position Summary
 

An RDC Warehouse Lead in Charlotte, NC is responsible for leading the team to accomplish the daily warehouse duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.


  • Run day to day RDC operation in the most efficient manner possible, leading the warehouse team in daily activities (i.e. load/unload trucks, perform and reconcile inventory, and assist the Customer Service Center as required)

  • Monitor and schedule maintenance of all RDC equipment (roll-loaders, dock equipment, etc.)

  • Effectively communicate with customers and support personnel to provide excellent service

  • Maintain current customer base by providing excellent customer service, including building synergy with local sales force

  • Ensure adherence to governmental (DOT, OSHA, etc.) regulations and company policies and procedures

  • Maintain high standards of safety, organization and inventory accuracy

  • Other duties may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
 

Lead employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.


 

Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


 
Travel
 
Travel is not required.

Education
 

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Associates degree preferred.


 
Required Skills 


  • Ability to train/manage/lead/understand LEAN or CI principles and activities in a logistics environment

  • Intermediate computer skills

  • Ability to interpret data and create useful information

  • Ability to root cause analyze and apply appropriate countermeasures to correct anomalies

  • Basic leadership skills

  • Intermediate customer service skills

Preferred Experience  


  • Greater than 5 years experience in a Logistics Supervisorial Position preferred.
