Job Summary
The Program Coordinator supports the business needs of the department by providing operational support to the disease management programs and wellness initiatives for Population Health and Wellness. The Program Coordinator, as directed by the Manager, Population Health Programs and Program Managers, is responsible for day-to-day program operations associated with disease management and wellness initiatives. Functions include database management, data queries, documentation, member and provider mailings, and creating reports and metrics associated with these programs.
Essential functions occur simultaneously, therefore, the Program Coordinator must be able to manage multiple tasks/ priorities, timelines, and seek assistance when necessary. The Program Coordinator role requires strong organizational skills and experience developing senior-level presentations, as well as a solid understanding of effective data display methods. The Program Coordinator supports the analysis and reporting of program metrics and outcomes.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide analytical support for programs managed in the department, using access and excel programs and data base queries. Responsible for processing and creating reports to support Department metrics and outcomes.
Includes:
Assisting with data display options, report/dashboard layout techniques, and data organization
Extracting and analyzing data from a variety of sources to inform business decisions
Assisting with the development of graphs, reports, and presentations displaying project results
Collaborating with various departmental and cross-functional teams to gather requirements
Maintains program metrics for departmental programs
Assisting with ongoing report maintenance and enhancements as necessary
Conduct program operations to support vendor programs as directed by manager and program managers, including data entry, querying data bases, generating ad hoc reports, quality checks related to specific programs, and other operational tasks.
Support operational components of established and/or low risk ventured or internal programs that require some cross departmental collaboration and minimal support from the program managers.
Support program operations for internal quality and regulatory programs. Maintain program operations, documentation related to operations, including copies of mailing materials, program information from provider and member publications, and other materials necessary to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Participate in the implementation of initiatives within the Population Health and Wellness Department as directed.
Participate in the evaluation of program operations and support the review of the Population Health and Wellness member and provider facing web pages and other educational resources at least annually.
Bachelor's Degree preferred, preferable in a health related field
EXPERIENCE: (Years of experience)
1-3 years business analytical or program operations or coordination experience. 2 years business or industry experience.
Vendor and contract management experience a plus
Knowledge of and proficiency in database applications and/or design. Knowledge of SQL, SAS, Cognos, preferred.
Proficient in data base management and programs, including Access, Excel, Word, Visio, and Power Point applications.
Well-developed verbal and written skills, with a focus on both internal and external communications.
Can parse and synthesize issues of average complexity. Develops basic reporting of program activity, utilization or effectiveness. Makes recommendations for program changes using basic analytical and problem solving capabilities.
Ability to work independently with vendors and sales to communicate information regarding our onsite services and the requirements for these services.
Ability to utilize multiple applications simultaneously and be able to grasp new software programs easily.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and balance multiple demands.
