A Material Control Manager job is available with a manufacturing client in northern Cincinnati, Ohio. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing professional with career goals to work in an empowered setting with a broad scope of authority. Reporting to the Director of Materials, the successful candidate will have the following experiences and abilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for supervising the allocation and distribution of materials for production.
* Consults with engineering on material substitutions and changes.
* Checks and orders original bills of materials on new and special items
* Checks for material shortages.
* Coordinates with Purchasing Department in requisitioning and following up materials needed for production.
* Responsible for maintaining an adequate flow of raw materials, work in process, and purchased parts through the facility in sufficient quantities to support authorized production schedules.
* Coordinate with finance to structure, supervise, and maintain the cycle count program.
* Supervise direct reports who are responsible for stockroom and cycle count over three shifts.
* Collaborate with material planners and production schedulers to identify supply issues and communicate throughout the organization.

* REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor"s degree preferred
* Five plus years manufacturing management experience
* Ability to interact with people on the floor, good social skills, and able to work with diverse work groups.
* A good understanding of ERP operating systems required. PLEX experience preferred.
* Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
* Ability to be "Hands-on" and roll up sleeves to work in a manufacturing environment.
* Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
