Service Manager

Position Summary
The Service Manager is responsible for managing all requirements of the HBL department to successfully achieve the set objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Interpret the needs of SHM members
Determine all maintenance needs and schedule all HBL work
Provide clear and precise instructions on the work order for technicians
Manage all HBL department staff and equipment
Observe and listen to vessels in operation to detect unsafe or malfunctioning equipment, leaks, or other flaws in hull and superstructure
Coordinate and manage activities of workers engaged in HBL activities to seaworthy condition
Set and meet ongoing HBL company goals
Available to work overtime as needed

Technical and Physical Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
5 years' relevant experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
Must carry own tools
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Basic boat handling skills a plus

Ability to provide exceptional customer service and an understanding of customers' needs
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team context
Organizational skills are a must
