Your Responsibilities

This position is eligible for a partial flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time.

As a Regional Accountant for John Deere Construction & Forestry located in Moline, IL, you will l ead month-end financial reporting processes including exhibit preparation, Profit by Product reporting, and account reconciliations. In addition, you will:

• Oversee unit Internal Controls (ICQ)/SOX testing, corporate bulletin requests, and internal/external audit requests for the unit.
• Research, identify and implement process improvements.
• Provide financial counsel to business management and other functional disciplines.

What Skills You Need

• 4 or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively across functional areas
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results when faced with new business challenges
• Understanding of the integrated systems of internal control and the relationship to disclosure and financial reporting
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and prioritize information available to make difficult decisions in a timely manner
• Experience taking responsibility in a situation without being asked and having the confidence to take the first step

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with unit general ledger activities and/or financial reporting
• SOX/Internal Control experience
• Experience with Profit by Product Reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas and financial modeling
• Familiarity with SAP and legacy systems such as L043, Walker, COMAR, and RMDS

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
