We are currently searching for a CAM Cell Operator to be based out of Chino, CA. Reporting to Shift Supervisor. This is high skill role that will set up and operate the CAM (Continuous Armoring Machine). The focus will be to successfully manage the CAM cell to achieve performance objectives. This role is part of an autonomous cell that requires little to no Supervision.


The ideal candidate will have 3 years manufacturing experience preferred. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.


Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Understand and execute Standard Work as described in the Job Function Analysis (JFA) for CAM and testing equipment

  • Utilize systems and visual tools to schedule and plan the operation

  • Conduct full set ups and change overs, and inspect and adjust the CAM as needed

  • Perform various machine adjustments to ensure quality specifications are met

  • Report production, inventory, safety and\or quality performance on paperwork and into electronic system

  • Operate computer console to report performance, access operational documents, and communicate utilizing Microsoft products

  • Certified PIT operator and ability to use pallet jacket

  • Participate in maintenance troubleshooting

  • Conduct root-cause analysis for non-confirming material

  • May be required to train team members

  • Conduct shift hand-off per standard work with oncoming and outgoing team members

  • Update and participate in GEMBA process and other continuous improvement events

  • Conduct monthly TBSO (Team Based Safety Observations)

  • Complete required 5S standard work

  • Conduct operator level maintenance

  • Ensure production materials are available

  • Provide peer to peer feedback through the peer evaluation process

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately

  • Duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities


Qualifications:



  • Education requirement(s): High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

  • Years of experience: 3 years manufacturing experience preferred; team-based experience preferred

  • Must be able to understand documents written in English

  • Experience in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment which includes collaborating with co-workers to achieve goals

  • Ability to provide feedback to co-workers

  • Must be able to work overtime as required based on business needs

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 45 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Must be able to utilize computers (hardware and software)
