Job Description:

Under the immediate supervision of the Materials Manager, is responsible for assisting with all duties related to the functions of the Purchasing, Receiving, Stockroom and Distribution of the goods and equipment for Huggins Hospital and its owned businesses.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Departmental Requisitions
1. Receives Departmental Requests for Supplies & Services.
2. Sets up and maintains Electronic Restock Sheets for all areas requesting supplies & services.
3. Places stock & non-stock items on order referencing the Electronic Requisition Control #.
4. Create/Replace Bar Code stickers for the scanning function.
5. Delivers products as needed.
Purchasing Function for Stock & Special Orders
1. Working closely with Shipper Receiver for stock items falling below par for reorder.
2. Building Purchase Orders based on replacing stock items.
3. Placing non-stock orders based on electronic requisitions, phone calls, etc.
4. Matching order confirmations against Purchase Orders, and resolving any discrepancies.
5. Processes returns and credits per the agreed upon procedure with Finance.
Maintaining Purchasing Item/Charge Master
1. Continuous maintenance of Item Master for accuracy, price changes, etc.
2. Continuous monitoring of Item Discrepancy Report and making changes where needed.
3. Building new items in the Item Master as needed.
4. Running Month-End reports for stock items.
5. Making sure that individual items $10. and over, are coded correctly as patient chargeable.
Departmental Functions Support
1. Fills in as needed for Shipping/Receiving, inventorying, delivering supplies, etc., as needed.
2. Supports the product standardization process by seeking alternative products and vendors, provides comparisons/costs to clinical staff.
3. Printing departmental forms as needed.
4. Bar Code Scanning update function.
5. Assisting with the year-end inventory function.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred, or Associates Degree with two (2) years relevant work experience.
Experience: Two (2) years demonstrated relevant experience preferred
