Senior SAP Data Migration Analyst at Bio-Rad Laboratories

Job Description:

Bio-Rad is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Data Migration Analyst to join our Data Migration team. Bio-Rad delivers four releases per year that may require data to be migrated from legacy systems to their SAP systems. Following our Data Migration Strategy, the Senior BSA will be involved in end to end Data Migration activities. They will engage with key resources to determine specific data needs across multiple work streams.

The person in this position will be experienced in completing successful projects as a team member and demonstrate business process knowledge in data migration, governance, quality and other focus areas. You will be a key contributor to the project team at different phases of the project including discovery, solution generation, design/architecture and the detailing of the overall process. This position will play a pivotal role in helping us drive the successful delivery of new data governance and data quality solutions to our business every day. The successful candidate will lead Bio-Rad's Data Quality initiatives. This position reports to the Global ERP IT Manager, MDM.

Responsibilities


  • Implements and develops Bio-Rad deliverables independently using Syniti methodology and tools (Data Stewardship Platform) as well as SAP BODS that meet or exceed requirements.

  • Develop and test all technical solutions per functional specifications and conduct user training as needed.

  • Work closely with other team members and consultants as a part of small to large size project teams.

  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve issues.

  • Conduct requirements analysis, data analysis and create reports.

  • Assist in the customization and configuration of the dsp (Data Stewardship Platform) solution and SAP BODS.

  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products.

  • Observe and foster best practices in business process design and implementation.

  • Possesses an advanced level of functional/technical expertise within their respective target area of focus.

  • Works under moderate supervision and initiates routine tasks with no instructions.

  • This position is 100% remote.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's/ Master's degree or comparable work experience.

  • At least 7+ years of configuration and ERP techno-functional or functional experience in SAP MM module, SAP MDG preferred.

  • Participated in three or more full cycle global SAP implementations.

  • In-depth and hands-on knowledge of Master Data Management business processes with cross functional integration knowledge and previous experience in Material Master Migration and maintenance.

  • Proficient in DSP, SAP Data Service (RDS IDOC jobs, CMC & DSMC configuration), SAP Information Steward or other Data Migration tools

  • Proficient in MS SQL (query skills, table structure and relational databases)

  • Experience in creating/ reviewing functional specifications for custom enhancements.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal business, technical, and external consulting teams.

  • Being a highly organized self-starter and having the ability to adapt and work independently in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment while still meeting critical milestones.

  • Ability to manage projects and teams and collaborate across business and IT disciplines to achieve successful implementations in a global context.

  • Able to manage independently all phases of a significant project or initiative.

  • The candidate must be able to design processes and sub-processes and to think through the implications of those designs.

  • Understanding how these processes provide Bio-Rad competitive advantages or operational efficiencies is essential.

  • Ability to establish critical relationships throughout the company and to build trust and credibility throughout the organization, domestically and internationally.

  • A "Project Management" mindset for working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to travel on average 30%, including international, with the ability to travel extensively as project needs require.
