We are looking for a Billing Account Manager 40 hours per week for our New York, NY Territory.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Billing Account Manager is responsible providing overall professional billing expertise in the field including but not limited to: billing portal set up, training, client education, and problem resolution.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:

Duties may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:


  • Meets or exceeds Revenue Cycle Targets and goals.

  • Makes client visits to key clients to review, resolve, and reduce billing errors.

  • Coordinates with Sales Department any collaborative client visits that may be required to the new or existing accounts

  • Acts as liaison for customer billing issues as necessary and communicates those to the appropriate person or department.

  • Follows up with clients for final resolution

  • Acts as customer's contact for any billing related issues.

  • Meet biweekly goals and monthly production standards as assigned by the management

  • Responsible for improving revenue at an account level through education and strategic plans; including crosswalks, and medical billing policy guidance.

  • Responsible for educating client staff on laboratory billing policies and procedures. Provides training and oversight of client portal; increases use of client portal at sites.

  • Must understand and adhere to compliance and federal guidelines.

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:


  • HS degree

  • BS or BA is preferred


EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare or related setting

  • Prior experience in problem solving, customer service, and related functions in healthcare, hospital or physician organization

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent computer skills, MS Office and familiarity with medical billing softwares

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills

  • Drive to succeed and High initiative

  • Knowledge of billing terms, CPTIV and ICD10, and Federal payer guidelines and operational and payer terms

  • Knowledge of laboratory billing is preferred

  • Ability to learn new systems and processes

  • Hands on experience and ability to work closely with other company units and team members
