Referral Specialist for NHC

NHC – National HealthCare Corporation is looking for a Referral Specialist to join our team.  The Referral Specialist executes referral management process with all referral sources and all NHC Center and Home Care Agency locations.

Qualifications:

1. Excellent oral and written communication skills


2. Excellent computer skills


3. Strong inter-personal skills


4. Strong attention to detail


5. Prior healthcare experience – preferred


6. Healthcare, or related field preferred

Performance Requirements:

1. Ability to timely execute referral process on numerous electronic platforms


2. Ability to self-initiate and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision


3. Ability to execute referral management and customer service skills


4. Mental acuity, judgment, and problem-solving skills adequate to perform job duties


5. Sensory ability to see, hear and speak adequately to effectively communicate


6. Ability to carry out fine motor skills with manual dexterity sufficient to perform job duties


7. Ability to be on feet or to be seated for prolonged periods of time

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Complete Referral Management Process with centers and referral sources.


2. Represent NHC in a positive and professional manner, projecting and reinforcing company objectives and philosophy.


3. Develops and maintains positive interaction with centers contacts and successful business relationships with referral sources.


4. Completes and produces monthly report log which tracks referrals completed.


5. Positively impacts admission growth


6. Other duties assigned
