Join our growing team! EisnerAmper is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Cloud Accounting practice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is client service oriented, creative and tech savvy. The team provides outsourced accounting services utilizing the latest cloud based accounting solutions. The group services small to mid-sized corporate clients in a wide variety of areas including technology, eCommerce, life sciences, healthcare, real estate, financial services, and family office.

You will be responsible for managing a team of accountants who perform all back office accounting functions for clients including reconciliations, bill and expense payment, payroll, monthly closing, and the creation of management reports and financial statements. The team also provides advisory services related to tax, budgeting, cash management as well as outsourced CFO services. The ideal candidate must be a meticulous and seasoned leader/manager who can manage all aspects of a client engagement, train team members, take ownership, develop relationships with both clients and team, and manage work quality and profitability. You should be able to think outside the box and be comfortable working in a fast-paced high growth environment, many clients are startups or venture funded entities. Clients are either US based, or foreign entities operating within the US.

Basic qualifications for the opportunity


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting

  • CPA required

  • At least 6+ years of recent public or private accounting experience

  • High level managerial accounting skills able to not only manage monthly closing process, review financial statements, and clean up historical accounting transactions, but also provide strategic business guidance around areas such as cash flow, budgeting, and expense management

  • Management experience, leading and developing employees as well as managing staff realization and utilization

  • Client engagement experience including supporting sales activity, managing engagements, and finding and closing upsell opportunities

  • Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses in a managerial accounting role

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Ideally, you'll also have


  • Experience with any of the following cloud based accounting applications

  • Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Sage Intacct

  • Bill.com, Expensify, Talley

  • Blackline, FloQast

  • Sage Intacct

  • Experience working with high growth companies in an advisory role

  • Complimentary experience in corporate Tax or Audit

  • Project management experience

This position can be located anywhere in the US and work 100% remotely.
