Job Description

Position can be filled in any of the Visa offices in Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA or Miami, FL

Visa DPS is looking for a Senior Implementation Consultant (individual contributor) to drive successful new client engagement across our traditional and challenger bank partners. The ideal candidate is driven, detail oriented, accustomed to technology (eg. JIRA) and is consistently looking to refine and improve the processes they implement. In addition, this person needs to have strong organizational and communication skills as the point of contact for client onboarding.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking a highly organized, self-directed team player, who can manage multiple engagements while providing consultative guidance for DPS clients. We seek someone who understands a financial institution (FI) and the expectations of processing services yet can also work in a fast-paced environment as we launch and scale programs across FIs. We're looking for someone who wakes up each morning with a drive to solve challenges and deliver consistency to our financial partners with varied and complex programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead implementation projects for Visa Debit Processing Services supporting dynamic modern banking Issuers and FinTech's.

  • Coordinate directly with clients to understand program set up requirements and facilitate new program installations, conversions, and maintenance requests without customer impact.

  • Proactively progress and project manage a customer's implementation cycle from contract through launch

  • Work within an established implementation process framework while recognizing opportunities to tailor process and behaviors to meet individual client needs.

  • Provide training and consultative input to internal partners

  • Track and Communicate status to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with sales, account management, and product as needed

  • Manage non-routine, complex processing and change requests, as well as short-term tactical and strategic client initiatives.

  • Proactively identify operational opportunities to increase service quality or efficiency.

  • Build and enhance positive working relationships withclients and internal partners.

  • Maintain detailed project plans, status reports, risk and issues logs.

  • Represent client system and operational requirements to internal Visa organizations.

  • Responsible for own workflow assignments and to take the initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines.

  • Coordinate internal Visa resources to ensure delivery on commitments.

  • Create, update and enhance internal support documents to assist internal and external partners.

The position starts at $105,600Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus and equity

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or

  • At least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

  • Critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills, keen ability to understand and communicate complex information (technical and business solutions) to a variety of audiences.

  • Highly resilient and able to manage competing priorities, influence others, and handle customer expectations with ease.

  • Shown success in customer relationship management.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical terms or processes into business language.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or

  • 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

  • Issuer Processing and payment industry experience is preferred

  • Technical implementation experience with API integrations is strongly preferred

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
