POSITION SUMMARY

Sr. Account Executive, PID / Neuro / HAE & Rare

The Account Executive is responsible for promoting Accredo's Specialty Pharmacy services and assisting accounts with the patient referral process, while also supporting the product lines that have been assigned within a specified territory and therapeutic areas. Advanced Therapies supported for this position include: Primary Immune Deficiencies and Neurological Conditions (IVIG), Hereditary Angioedema and Rare Conditions (SMA) . The account executive will serve as the primary liaison for customer support and advocacy, will work closely with internal constituents to ensure that our tradition of excellent customer service is being met, and will engage with pharma manufacturers as needed to assure up to date product and service knowledge in the key therapy areas - in order to be a relevant resource to our key accounts.

Note: - This role will support the National Capital Region including Washington-DC, Maryland and Virginia. Candidate must be familiar with and currently live within this region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Educates customers on the Accredo specialty pharmacy model, serves as the primary liaison for resolution of customer issues, and works closely with our internal constituents to ensure our tradition of excellent customer service.

  • In order to drive new business, achieve sales / admit objectives, and drive key financial metrics - this individual will support and execute strategies, champion sales activities, and manage complex client relationships.

  • Collaborate with Clinical Care Teams, Reimbursement Department, Pharmacy Operations and brand Product Teams to provide field insight and forward thinking solutions to ensure Accredo' s competitive advantage.

  • Assist National Account Managers in implementing payer contracts to assure that performance metrics are being met, and to help drive local pull-through business

  • Communicate regularly with Payor Account teams on current and / or potential contact opportunities within respective region.

  • Develop territory strategic plan and forecast to attain sales / admit goals, based on completed profile of assigned physician offices.

  • Responsible for tracking incoming patient referrals from physicians / clinics, and assuring smooth onboarding and / or transitions.

  • Use business acumen, advanced knowledge of Accredo products/services, industry trends & sales eTools to meet or exceed established admit goals.

  • Attend and participate in conferences/exhibits for targeted audiences & therapy areas (i.e. physicians, nurses, etc.).

  • Coordinate and attend case conferences, with other representatives from the service branch.

  • Meet productivity requirements in regard to quality customer interactions / logging of sales activities

  • Participate and assist in planning regional sales meetings.

Primary MD Call Points:



  • Primary Immune Deficiencies : Allergy & Asthma Centers, Allergists, Immunologists & Infectious Disease Physicians


  • Neuro (PID/CIDP) : Neurology Centers / Clinics, Neurologists


  • Hereditary Angioedema : HAE Treatment Centers, Allergists & Immunologists


  • Rare (Spinal Muscle Atrophy) : SMA Treatment Centers, Neurologists, Pulmonologists


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, and 8-12 years relevant sales experience OR Master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience.

  • Prefer specialty pharmacy or other "service" related sales experience

  • Experience with IVIG, HAE, Neuro and / or Rare diseases desirable.

  • MS -Excel, Power Point, & Word proficient, as well as overall computer proficiency.

  • Knowledge of managed care / insurance benefits.

  • Experience with business / strategic plan development.

  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to self-motivate / work remotely - virtually

NOTE :

Since this role requires travel to client & customer sites (with patients often present or nearby), candidate must either be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 OR must be willing to undergo regular COVID testing to assure the safety of our employees and customers. If unvaccinated for COVID-19, you will be required to self-test (test will be provided to you) and you must obtain a negative result no greater than three (3) calendar days prior to the meeting/travel departure.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
