Job Purpose: The Data Sync FE is a leader in the design, implementation, and execution of technology that enables the process of Data Synchronization. Responsibilities start with the collection of item information through item data publication to MW customers, via the GS1 Global Data Sync Network (GDSN). The role has accountability for best practice business process that enable quality data and improved Customer scorecards. The breadth of internal, external stakeholders, and touch point systems that rely on output from this role is vast, including top GSV customers, site quality, global innovation, sales, D-Commerce/E-commerce, R&D, brand managers, customer care, master data, factory audit controls, Mars IS and 3rd party data pool providers.
What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
5 years' experience within a CPG company with a focus on data, analytics and related processes
Moderate SAP experience
Strong knowledge in analytics, data concepts and industry standard tools
Two + years' experience developing reports via advanced Excel functionality including Visual Basic macro coding
Demonstrated ability to influence adoption of a significant recommendation involving business process changes and/or new system applications
Project management capability
Preferred Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, MIS, Business, Systems Applications or Data related field, or MBA or advanced degree
7 years Supply Chain experience w/focus in data, analytics and related processes in CPG business platform
Expertise in business process and systems as it relates to GDSN design, operation principles, data schemas/attributes
High systems literacy in DAP, 1WorldSync and Salsify
Key Responsibilities:
Resident expert for the Mars PIM, DAP (Digital Asset Platform), datapool solution, Salsify as it relates to images and nutritional's, and is a GS1 Standards Expert
The functional expert has a responsibility to ensure the maximum benefit is obtained from particular business processes and the supporting system. This is achieved through the training and support for a particular business area and measuring and monitoring compliance metrics.
Partner with cross-functional business teams to support/lead change or improve business processes both from a process and technical standpoint.
The functional expert needs a good understanding of the system(s), which underpin these processes, including an awareness of how all the transactions for that functional area operate and their interactions with other functions. (PIM, DAP, Salsify, 1WorldSync)
Business unit champion for data governance principles, including acceptance of process and standards within direct data area.
Recommend business process changes or enhancement of current process best practices to all levels within the business in order to deliver required efficiencies and address customer needs.
Partner with Marketing, Sales & R&D counterparts to ensure systems and tools support current and future business needs.
Represent MW in the Regional and Global community, providing functional expertise, influencing, deciding and escalating as necessary, specific to business process requirements. Participate on the Mars Global DAP Data Governance Team.
Point of contact for system related issues. Responsible for system testing and managing applicable CIP's, upgrades and releases.
Identify and resolve medium to advanced technical issues, mainly on Regional scale.
Development and ongoing enhancement to factory site and business tools, data and communications software, Data Sync reporting tools and KPIs.
