EXPERIENCE: Customer service experience preferred; Security experience required

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required to obtain and maintain: a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license; State issued Drivers License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods of time; lift a minimum of 45 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust and noise and bright flashing lights.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the safety of all casino assets, employees, and guests with focus on asset protection.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires: walking and standing for entire shifts; completion of classes in First Aid, CPR/Defibrillator, OC spray, etc as required; courteous rapport with customers and staff

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides safety and protection for all guests, employees and property of Grand Lake Casino


• Develops and maintains a friendly, courteous rapport with customers, staff and law enforcement


• Patrols and secures all areas (inside and outside) of casino


• Operates a radio using signals/codes established by the casino


• Reports unusual or suspicious activity, occurrences or incidents to M.O.D.


• Responds to unruly or intoxicated guests


• Submits accurate and truthful reports concerning incidents or infractions involving customers, employees or themselves


• Escorts staff, vendors and contractors to and from sensitive areas of the casino


• Assists slot attendants when machines need to be opened for servicing


• Stands by while machine vendors service machines


• Keeps hourly head counts of patrons


• Relieves and operates the dispatch desk as required


• Assists Human Resources when needed (drug test, walk outs)


• Provides basic fire fighting, first aid and safety response

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Reliable transportation


• At least 18 years of age


• Written and verbal communication skills


• Multitasking skills


• Adaptability
