POSITION TITLE: Operations Human Resources Assistant - Part Time
POSITION SUMMARY: In accordance with Corporate HR and Farm Operations standards and guidelines, this position provides HR support for the Location’s complex in recruitment, training coordination, retention, employee relations and compliance.
REPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with location management to ensure employee engagement and satisfaction to prevent employee turnover.
Assists management on evaluation and execution of employee engagement activities.
Advises managers and employees on location compliance with HR policy and programs, and creates initiatives with location management and Team Lead.
Provides direction and support for location administrator on personnel, compliance audit and safety file management; audits file management to ensure compliance with storage and retention requirements.
Leads location recruitment activities to staff Production and Processing positions with skilled employees dedicated to efficiency and low cost production. Suggests location-specific adjustments to job postings, and reviews and selects candidates for open positions.
Participates in job fairs, school, campus and local events to build community relations and develop a high quality source of skilled candidates.
Advises managers and location administrator on on-boarding and training for new employees. Works with hiring manager to develop effective onboarding plan for each new hire.
Participates in location management meetings to report status and advice on operations HR matters.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1+ year administration experience, 2+ years HR experience preferred but not required
Strong experience in Recruiting and Employee Relations required
Experience as a business partner and HR advisor
Handles sensitive, private and confidential information with utmost discretion
Experience using HRIS (UltiPro/UKG preferred)
Ability to work independently and as a team member
