Consolidations Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting at Dana Limited

Job Description:

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

The Consolidations Senior Analyst will have a key role in the consolidation of the company's financial results and related processes. Reporting to the Consolidations Manager, the analyst will be involved in the management of the Oracle Enterprise Management (Oracle EPM) software, commonly referred to as HFM. The role requires initiative and the ability to work independently, while providing timely and accurate data/reports to various user groups.

          Key Responsibilities:

 


  • Perform consolidation procedures on a monthly/quarterly basis in Oracle EPM

  • Actively support global shared service organization personnel and plant controllers with their monthly Oracle EPM data submissions

  • Work with Oracle EPM administration team to maintain organization structures (legal, management, financial, alternative, etc.) and the global chart of accounts

  • Prepare consolidating journal entries

  • Analyze Oracle EPM reports and consolidated financial results and remediate any issues/errors identified

  • Assist Corporate Accounting, Tax and Treasury teams with legal entity reorganizations and cash repatriation activities

  • Maintain Corporate entity general ledgers

  • Identify, interpret, and analyze potential accounting risks and issues

  • Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls within area of responsibility and assist with designing new processes and controls as needed


  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned  
     
    Requirements:
     


  • Minimum 3 to 5 years professional experience including public accounting and/or directly relevant industry experience with multi-national SEC registrant

  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and high integrity

  • Strong planning and project management skills

  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects

  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines

  • Detail oriented while not losing sight of the big picture

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Excel

  • Oracle EPM experience preferred

  • Must be able to work extra hours when necessary
     
    Education and Certification Requirements:
     


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

  • CPA preferred but not required
