Responsibilities:


  • Conducts review and analysis program of personnel clearance cases in relation to the overall processing and objective of the program.

  • Application of interview techniques to explore fully sensitive topics.

  • Implements complex government security and/or intelligence programs and policies.

Qualifications:


  • High School degree or equivalent and possess at least 2 years of equivalent experience in personnel security or related field (law enforcement, criminal justice, security investigations, etc.). 

  • Review investigative documents to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and areas of requiring clarification or additional investigation.

  • Author written documentation that clearly cites results of review and recommended courses of action.

  • Recommends security clearance eligibility decisions on extremely sensitive investigative information involving highly complex and controversial issues.

  • Effective writing techniques and verbal communication skills at the professional level, including a knowledge of effective public speaking and presentation techniques are a must.

  • Knowledge of the principles of criminal law, psychology, intelligence-gathering processes, investigative procedures, and logic sufficient to analyze pertinent information and initiate prudent action to resolve concerns regarding security clearance eligibility.

  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practical application of interview techniques sufficient to explore fully sensitive topics with sometimes unwilling subjects.

  • Must Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
