Job Description:

The Administrative/Financial Coordinator position provides professional administrative and financial support to the Director for Public and Community Health Program and the Director of Environmental Studies, faculty, staff and students. Responsibilities include creating, managing budget, including grants, financial, payroll, human resources, and travel activity in coordination with Directors. Additional duties include creating MailChimp emails, creating flyers, student recruitment, student and community outreach, classroom scheduling management for the department, meetings, special events, preparations of correspondence and reports, maintaining confidential records, social media and website updates.  Annual duties will include oversight of faculty progression processes and new faculty searches.  Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, OR:


  • 48 months of office management experience

Skills:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • General office skills such as multi-line phone, copying, filing, faxing, and mail

Certifications:


  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:


  • Standard office environment with extensive computer use. Must be able to pull, push, reach, grasp, feel, touch, communicate, hear and see including color, depth perception and clarity.

Departmental Preferences:


  • Experience in Payroll, Finance or Administrative Support 

  • OU or higher education

  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English

  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff

  • Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines

  • Strong initiative to solve problems

  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
