Position Summary
 

The Production Associate in Kutztown, PA will entail responsibility for product assembly, proper care and handling of inventory and following safe practices and standard work procedures at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 


  • Ensure adherence to governmental regulations (DOT, OSHA) and company policies and procedures

  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve company performance

  • Perform line work as required to meet production demands and simple assembly with basic hand tools

  • Maintain a clean work environment and all applicable equipment

  • Assist in the achievement of departmental and company goals

  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned

  • Other duties may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
 

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education
 
 
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Required Skills 


  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • Work a flexible shift as needed

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Preferred Skills   


  • Ability to train/manage/lead/understand LEAN or CI activities and initiatives

Required Experience 


  • Computer literate

Preferred Experience


  • Three years of Production Line experience

  • Forklift training with both sit down and standup lifts
