Forward Air is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. Our Dock Clerks are responsible for providing clear and concise administrative support for the warehouse.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Completing truck check in on iPhone app
Verifying and recording units brought back on truck on return log
Verifying haul away count on truck and comparing to iPhone app
Thoroughly go through all invoices with each driver
Oversee all drivers remove parts box and totes from truck and return to cage
Keep dock area clean and organized
Provide direction to all drivers as where to place orders that are brought back
Move returns to appropriate area after download is on unit
Excellent attention to detail required
Act in a professional and an appropriate manner
Help with office related functions including phone calls as time allows
Schedule flexibility; ability to expand during events
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, post high school education a plus
Prior customer service experience preferred
Excellent keyboarding skills, must have a strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft office
Ability to multi-task must be detail oriented and be able to work in a fast pace office environment
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed
