What We’re Looking For:  

We are seeking an IT Financial and Performance Analytics Analyst. This role will be located within the Office of the CIO within Alvarez and Marsal’s IT Department, reporting into the IT Operations Lead.  

The OCIO Financial and Performance Analytics Analyst is a key contributor to IT as a business strategy, with a focus on both financials and KPIs and operating efficiencies.

Below are some of the key responsibilities of the role: 


  • Support monthly and year-end accounting. Prepare and analyze monthly and year-over-year analyses for overall IT firmwide spend, IT department spend and specific vendor spend. Provide budget vs actual analysis as well as forecasts. 

  • Work with leaders to understand project costs and build project cost models.

  • Analyze data and create financial models for decision support. 

  • Review invoices and match up to corresponding purchase orders and ensure and communicate budget impact. 

  • Work with IT leaders on allocations of vendor costs to the broader firm.

  • As needed assists with vendor management and contract renewals in conjunction with spend management.  

  • Publish and maintain a standard set of performance dashboards and scorecard reports. Coordinate with technical teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive analytics development and maintenance.

Experience and Qualifications: 


  • 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics,

  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency 

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas and functions 

  • Excellent interpersonal communications and problem-solving skills 

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as on a team. 

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to learn new systems and processes. 

  • Ability to work in a team environment with global team members and time-zones. 

  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
