The regulatory changes impacting audit practices across Europe are having a significant impact on the Restructuring practices of the accounting firms. This has created a huge opportunity for growth and A&M has expanded its Restructuring practice significantly since 2017 building teams in London, Madrid, Paris, Stockholm, Helsinki, Zurich and Munich.

A&M’s established European Financial Restructuring Advisory practice enables companies, investors, lenders, and secured creditor groups in complex restructuring processes to evaluate the risks and opportunities of a company’s business plan and restructuring alternatives in order to maximize recovery.

This is a unique opportunity for an Analyst to join an established & growing business and play an instrumental role in delivering exciting projects to clients. The successful candidate will work on multi-stakeholder, multi-national and domestic restructuring advisory engagements delivering a blend of review and stakeholder advisory work to clients.

Main responsibilities:


  • Help advise company stakeholders facing financial difficulties; assess Group-level financial performance in addition to high-level studies of the financial viability of subsidiary companies

  • Participate in all the phases of a refinancing process advising both, borrowers and lenders

  • Assist in the preparation of corporate strategic plans in addition to implementation support for domestic and international groups and subsidiaries

  • Contribute to performance monitoring following business plan implementation

  • Tasks can include: Initial diagnostic assessment of key issues and business outlook, appraisal of options and contingency planning, cash flow assessments and Independent Business Reviews

  • Contribute to business development activities including the creation of client pitches and proposals to win new mandates

  • Contribute to building a strong, trusted, long term relationships with key stakeholders in the Spanish and European lending community through the delivery of value-added client engagements

Required experience:


  • Strong academic background  with 0/2+ years experience within audit at a Big 4 environment

  • Experience within a Financial Restructuring team is advantageous (additional alternative lenders / credit recovery fund experience will also be considered)

  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, build financial models & analyse financial under-performance and related services

  • Fluent business level English and Spanish is essential.
