Overview

LMI is seeking a logistics analyst to support the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Requirements, Leveling and Execution systems. The position location is flexible: preferably located with an AF major logistics organization (e.g., Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, Scott AFB, Illinois or Maxwell AFB, Alabama) and directly supports the management of the AF's supply chain. In addition, many of the AF supply chain tools are used by other services, so analyst support would not be limited to AF.

LMI is a consultancy dedicated to improving the business of government, drawing from deep expertise in advanced analytics, digital services, logistics, and management advisory services. Established as a private, not-for-profit organization in 1961, LMI is a trusted third party to federal civilian and defense agencies, free of commercial and political bias. We operate completely free of political and commercial bias, and we are entirely aligned with the goals of our clients. Our clients value our specialized services in logistics, intelligence, homeland security, health care, and energy and environment markets. We believe government can make a difference, and we seek talented, hardworking people who share that conviction. We offer a generous compensation package with excellent benefits that start the first day of employment. Business casual dress, flex time, and tuition reimbursement are a few of our many work-life benefits available to our employees.

  • Assist with the operation of the Customer Oriented Leveling Technique (COLT) for the Air Force and for other services, as needed.

  • Develop programs to assist in the execution and operation of the AF (and other service's) supply chain.

  • Communicate with clients through written reports and oral presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, statistics, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or other related business or quantitative discipline required.

  • Experience in logistics operations, or supply chain or inventory management.

  • Experience in the use of analysis tools e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
