Position Responsibilities:

• Design, modify, deploy, and maintain a variety of applications and platforms in support of a product manufacturing operation


• Capture business requirements, offer/negotiate technical solutions; act to develop those solutions through all phases of the complete software development cycle


• Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software quality and performance


• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of creativity and latitude


• Works directly with customers to understand their needs/requirements, enhance communication, and build/maintain positive relationships


• Manufacturing operates 24 X 7; flexible support hours are required though not routine


• Contributes innovative ideas and solutions to help identify product opportunities


• Is the primary IT contact for Rochester Film & Media Manufacturing Site, triaging items as appropriate into the various teams within the IT organization
  
  

Required Skills & Education:

• Working knowledge of a variety of the software engineering concepts, practices, and procedures


• Programming and design experience in VB6, JavaScript, JQuery, ASP.Net Web Forms, VB.Net, C#.NET, HTML, CSS, MS SQL, Visual Studio 2015+, ASP.NET Core MVC


• Experience working with IIS and coding for web applications


• Experience/judgment to execute to plan and accomplish goals


• Ability to write end user documentation and conduct end user training
  
  

Desired Skills:

• Microsoft Visual Basic 6, Entity Framework Core, X-Unit


• MS SQL Database design, development, and maintenance


• Process Control integration experience


• Web Service development


• UML Modeling (use case/object/sequence/class/activity diagrams)
  
  

Work Environment:

We expect the physical location of this position to involve balancing time between Rochester Verona Street headquarters, and the Building 12 manufacturing site. The individual will independently align their location to achieve the highest level of product
