City Experiences is seeking a Operations Analyst for our Puerto Rico Ferry by Hornblower operation in San Juan.

About the Opportunity:

Under administrative direction, plans, organizes, reviews, and evaluates day-to-day operations. Assists with generating daily, weekly, monthly reports to ensure performance compliance accordingly Contract, provides real time notifications to division directors, and other functional groups within the company. Performs related work as assigned by VP of Operations, Facilities and Support Services. Promotes and provides quality service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as it pertains to contract requirements set forth.

  • Develop and manage dispatch system as directed.

  • Assist with all reporting as it pertains to vessel operations.

  • Maintain or assist in maintaining assigned files and records; receive and process information according to established guidelines and procedures.

  • Analyzing and reporting data trends.

  • Type memos, correspondence, official documents, forms, reports, schedules, permits, and statistical data.

  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and coding; prepare monthly expenditure reports for department head; Receive and log purchase requisitions for departmental supplies.

  • Obtain bids and prepare requests for purchase orders; review requisitions for clarity, accuracy, and completeness; correct and amend requisitions, as necessary; coordinate special purchases with Buyers; code all invoices with correct budget expenditure codes; solicit, receive, and analyze estimates for competitive cost and consistency with department needs.

  • Oversee weekly reports including but not limited to ridership, future projects, chartered vessels, and social media analytics.

  • Assists with completing of expense reports.

  • Schedule meetings

  • Gathers and analyzes information and data and prepares narrative and statistical reports of findings.

  • Operate two-way radio base stations; operate paging system as required; record radio communications as required.

  • Performs a variety of office tasks to assist in transit operations including tracking systems, vessel allocation, ridership, and reporting.

  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:


  •  Collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating varied information and data.

  •  Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs.

  •  Setting priorities, coordinating multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.

  •  Using sound, independent judgment within established policy and procedural guidelines.

  •  Effective interpersonal communication.

  •  Maintaining accurate records and files.

  •  Working cooperatively and effectively within a team and the larger organizational setting.

  •  Operates communication systems utilizing radio, telephone & computer equipment.

  •  Working in fast-paced environment.

  •  Available to work nights and weekends a must.
