Global Supplier Quality Engineer at Nilfisk, Inc.

Job Description:

In this highly visible role, the Global Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure the quality of the products assembled at Nilfisk meet all customer expectations; quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found. Maintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standards. The person will partner closely with various cross functional team to enable operational success, ensure supplier corrective action and improve process & customer quality.

Responsibilities


  • Support Category management on Supplier Approval process, evaluate supplier's capability (manufacturing and quality). Work with suppliers on quality planning and part approval process tasks in Pipeline projects. Make sure supplier quality tasks are completed on time.

  • Execute supplier improvement tasks, quality planning and part approval processes in NPD projects. Support early supplier involvement, supplier selection and evaluate supplier's capability (manufacturing and quality). Make sure Suppler improvements and PPAP activities are completed in line with NPD project timing plan.

  • Drive supplier improvement and development activities to achieveor go beyond the desired quality KPIs (eg: DPM, TCOPQ, SCAR/TFR) with the use of quality tools such as QS,PCPA, CA-PA, NSDP, LEAN, TOP Focus (worst) program etc.). Train suppliers about quality tools as necessary.

  • Support development & maintenance of Nilfisk supplier quality requirements / standards / processes. Support local quality on Internal audits.

Minimum Requirements;


  • MS or BS degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

  • Min of 3-5+ years of Quality Engineering , Reliability engineering, Metal Parts & Plasticprocess fabrication

  • Execution level of Automotive Quality tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, PFEMA, 8D, 5Y, ISHIKAWA).

  • Proficient in use of MS Office software, Excel. Word, PowerPoint

  • SAP Knowledge is advantage

  • Willing to Travel 35%+ of time

  • ISO 9001 and/or IATF16949 internal auditor or Lead assessor (14001 auditor Certificate is advantage)

Preferred Experience


  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plastics, Metal parts & Electronics (Sensor, Video Cameras, Digital Services ) components

  • Able to work in terms as much as working individuality

  • Capable of Multitasking and handling a complex working environment

  • Having systematic and structured working methodology.

  • Self-confident and persistence- Capable of making decisions and work independently.
