Position Summary


JOB FUNCTION:

Responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties associated with supporting the plant's Human resource functions. Responsible for administrating AAP/EEO program, employee benefits, ADP Human Resources software, file management and training. Also assists the Manager of Human Resources in administrating employee relations programs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for conducting, administering, developing, implementing, processing and evaluating all company benefit plans and the mailroom. Responsible for ADP Human Resources/Payroll software system. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  1. Handles employee counseling and advising concerned personnel, providing detail as required to avoid misunderstanding and secure acceptance. Participate in investigation of problems. Complaints, conditions probationary follow-up provide information and foundation for management determinations relative to applicable discipline action, possible conflicts, potential liability, employee reactions, etc.

  1. Conduct communications meetings, forms committees, establishes schedules as required or necessary to fulfill assigned responsibilities. Assume additional, attend various seminars, training sessions and meetings to establish effective contacts for information exchange on wages and benefits updates and improve personal skills, growth and promotability.

  1. Employee Benefits. Accidental death and dismemberment, group life, accident and sickness benefit, medical and dental group benefit plan, express scripts prescription drug plan, PCC Pension Plan, PCC Savings Plans.

  1. Employment for hourly and Non-Exempt salaried employees. Employee orientation, all phases of OSHA reporting and record keeping. Affirmative Action Plan/EEO, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Tuition Reimbursement Plan, Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Worker's Compensation and First Aid to injured employees.

  1. Coordinates company functions such as Service Awards, Christmas Party, etc.

  1. Gives Human Resource related advice to all levels of employees/management.

EDUCATION:

BS Degree in Human Resources Management or related field; or post high school education and experience in Human Resources management. HR certification preferred but not required.

EXPERIENCE:

3 to 5 years experience in Human Resources management in a manufacturing environment.

SUPERVISION:

No supervision required.
