This position is responsible for hands-on work on the aircraft and directly supports flight test operations.

Note: While this position is based in South Burlington, VT, the incumbent will be required to travel to Plattsburgh, NY frequently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform aircraft maintenance, instrumentation, and other test-related activities


• Aircraft electrical system troubleshooting, inspections and repairs


• Composites structural inspections, repairs, and modifications


• Maintain aircraft forms and maintenance records


• Regular maintenance on aircraft High Voltage systems, electric propulsion systems, avionics, instrumentation systems, landing gear and composites structures


• Launch and recovery of flight test aircraft


• Aircraft modifications to support operational and flight test requirements


• Communicate directly with Engineering to recommend changes to aircraft systems to improve reliability and maintainability


• Support ongoing technical development projects


• Coordinate and perform ground test operations


• Organize and maintain flight test ground support equipment and hardware

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• High school diploma or GED required


• Strong problem-solving skills


• Ability to read schematics


• Wiring, crimping pins and, sockets and basic knowledge of connectors


• Avionics troubleshooting


• Basic electrical troubleshooting


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with both internal & external customers


• High energy, self-motived, organized and detail-oriented


• Passion for safety through quality at all times


• Google G -Suite including drive, mail, calendar, docs, sheets, slides, charts, hangouts; slack,

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or other regulated industry


• Airframe & Powerplant license and/or equivalent experience


• Avionics and basic electrical troubleshooting


• Background in Flight Test / Aerospace Engineering
