Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager! Our private beachfront resort rests on Puerto Rico's northern coast, looking out over the Atlantic Ocean. Manuel Morales Beach is 10 minutes away, and central San Juan is 21 miles from the door. Our guests can relax in our outdoor lagoon-style pool with ocean views, and join us for made-to-order breakfast and complimentary evening receptions!

An Assistant Restaurant Manager oversees all Food and Beverage operations, including Restaurants, Bars, Café, Room Service, Conference and Banqueting and Kitchens to ensure high standards of quality and service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.

Assist with the direction of the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.

Monitor and implement schedules for the operation of all restaurants and bars to achieve a profitable result.

Participate with the chef and restaurant managers in the creation and merchandising of attractive menu designs to attract a predetermined customer market.

Assist with the implementation of effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.

Assist with the Budget control and administration.

Assist and handles Marketing initiatives and events.

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all Food and Beverage operations including Restaurants, Bars, Cafe, Room Service, Conference and Banqueting and Kitchens to ensure quality and service by performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Manage the food and beverage service to consistently meet high standards as defined by the hotel and Hilton brand standards
  • Effectively control the flow of customers and the interaction between the front and back-of-house throughout service
  • Ensure Team Members maximize all sales opportunities
  • Ensure Team Members consistently maintain brand standards and high levels of customer service
  • Handle all customer inquiries in an appropriate and professional manner
  • Accurately manage all transactions during service
  • Manage Team Member schedules, stock, and wastage levels
