Job Description:

Ideal candidates will already reside in either the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Dallas or Chicago area, or have a high interest in relocating to one of these cities in the near future.

Edelman is looking for a Resource Director to join our team. This central role will support resource management, with a specific focus on integrated production and design. In this role, you will ensure that all new projects and opportunities are properly routed and communicated through the necessary systems and processes to ensure clients, teams, colleagues and the work are set up for success. Additionally, you will facilitate freelance and temporary staffing solutions, when appropriate.

Responsibilities:


    • Work closely with the broader US Resource Management and Project Management team, as well as client/project leads and creative/strategy resources across the office

    • Field day-to-day intake of requests for creative and strategy work across our full portfolio of clients

    • Set/manage expectations and priorities and communicate proactively on status of fulfillment to internal stakeholders

    • Manage and traffic requests and casting assignments through project management software to ensure real-time changes are tracked and updated accurately

    • Regularly engage with 40-50 creatives and strategists across all levels about projects, bandwidth and casting

    • Partner with other Resource Managers across the U.S. via Marketplace and coordinate resource sharing whenever efficiencies and casting needs present themselves

    • Source and facilitate freelance support as needed through proper channels in alignment with key counterparts including PM, Finance and US Gig Coordinator

    • Report up to, support and escalate casting and resourcing challenges and updates to US Creative & Production Resourcing lead

    • Inform and evolve resourcing processes and systems as needed in accordance with broader organizational change

Skills and Experience:


    • 4+ years of previous experience as a creative resource manager or creative project manager (agency experience preferred)

    • Highly organized, proactive individual who excels in time management and a fast-paced environment,

    • Stays calm under pressure, managing tight deadlines and multi-tasking of large and small tasks

    • Eager and quick to learn new responsibilities with ease and confidence

    • Empathetic, collaborative and consummate professional

    • Rational problem-solver, who seeks out information to make informed decisions quickly

    • Exceptional communications skills, with an ability to adapt style for varying situations and stakeholders and clearly articulate needs and next steps

    • Well-versed in the creative process, skills, roles and range of deliverables

    • Proficient in basic Office software and programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PPT), and some familiarity with project/resource management systems (e.g., Smartsheet, PSA, Workamajig, 10K, etc)

    • Personable demeanor, with aspirations to partner closely with a range of colleagues at all levels from varying disciplines, geos and levels

    • Ability to handle sensitive situations, information and conversations with professionalism and confidentiality
