In this role, you will own driving success in the CareAllies Houston, Texas market. Are you ready for a role where you are the "do it or it doesn't get done" crew? Our Physician Leaders and Cigna Houston market team are counting on it!

You will be responsible for assisting with the general oversight of value based health plan contracts for a large Independent Physician Association in the greater Houston area including review of financials, including action plans, medical expense analysis, and cost trend analysis. You will work under the direction of the Network Operations Manager to support a market and/or IPA's value based health plan contracts to achieve success by increasing quality and decreasing medical cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with health plan partners, physicians, providers, and practice managers within the network, including oversight and managing performance in various incentive based and/or value based programs.

  • Prepares and delivers content for provider education on various topics such as quality metrics, medical cost trends, utilization management, population health management and case management.

  • Responsible for network development, including physician contracting, rate negotiations, network relationships, network communication, physician recruitment, and network partners.

  • Analyzes health plan partner data and creates actionable reporting to distribute to provider partners.

  • Prepares and delivers presentations with providers, provider staff, and/or physician leadership during monthly operational meetings.

  • Partners with other internal departments, including but not limited to Health Services, Finance, Claims, and Coding in order to develop solutions for strategic business needs.

  • Responsible for provider growth in participation of additional health plan contracts offered by the IPA

Requires 25% local travel to providers in the Houston, Texas area and may be required to travel to out of state conferences and 1-2x a year.

This role requires 25% of travel. You will need to be fully vaccinated in order to travel & meet the requirements for this position.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma, GED required. Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent work experience working in a matrix environment.


  • 3-4 years related work experience working with providers in a healthcare environment preferred.


  • Experience working with an Independent Physician Association (IPA). Experience in physician relations, managed care, contracting, or value based care highly preferred.



  • Intermediate level of Excel required (knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).


  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.


  • Experience in financial/trend analysis preferred.


  • Excellent communication skills-verbal, written and presentation.


  • Must be an independent thinker; time management and organizational skills are a must.


  • Car & valid driver's license required (mileage reimbursement provided).
