Job Summary: The Senior Treasury Analyst will be part of our FX treasury team involved in shaping and managing the Company’s global foreign currency and interest rate hedging strategy. As a critical member of the treasury team, you will support FX and rates hedging initiatives for a multi-national, capital intensive technology firm. You will have opportunities to develop and partner with capital markets, corporate development, FP&A, investor relations, tax, legal, and accounting internally. Externally, your stakeholders would include external legal providers, investment banks, and consultants. You will have an important role in supporting Equinix’s global growth through organic initiatives as well as joint ventures and acquisitions.

Responsibilities


  • Identify foreign exchange and interest rate exposures, use derivatives and other hedging strategies to manage exposures, and support the accounting and reporting of the hedging programs


  • Negotiate terms and execute trades with banking counterparts


  • Monitor trading activity and hedge positions to determine hedge effectiveness and ensure compliance with hedge accounting and tax requirements


  • Prepare Treasury related disclosures to be included in our SEC reporting documents, ensure effectiveness of SOX controls, and maintain compliance with internal policies and federal rules and regulations


  • Assist in preparation of presentations and dashboards for the Board of Directors, CFO, Treasurer, and other internal stakeholders


  • Review best practices and hedging strategies with peers and advisors (banks, consultants, etc.)


  • Offer ideas and creativity to make current processes more efficient and automated


  • Support decision making with recommendations for allocating banking business


  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for the Treasury organization and senior management, including counterparty management and macroeconomic analysis


Qualifications


  • Ability and willingness to work within a team and prioritize team objectives


  • Demonstrated history of problem-solving skills and a tendency to take initiative


  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability in meeting deadlines


  • Previous experience in a FX/rates treasury role welcome


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred


  • Basic understanding of international corporate finance


  • Strong MS excel skills with ability to model financial transactions and conduct scenario analysis


  • Experience and/or interest in learning financial systems like Bloomberg, FXall, Oracle, and Reval
