As an Infection Prevention Control Officer at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center you will be responsible for the administration of the center’s Infection Prevention and Infection Control Program, which includes the identification, investigation, reporting, prevention, and control of center acquired infections among residents, staff and guests. The IPCO is a qualified individual with knowledge of CDC guidelines, Joint Commission standards, occupational health standards, and federal and state regulations, related to infection prevention and control in skilled nursing facilities. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Epidemiology, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Nursing, or other related healthcare field required.




• Two (2) or more years’ experience as an Infection Preventionist or related healthcare professional with knowledge of patient care practices, microbiology, infectious diseases, and epidemiology.




• CDC - IPCO Certification required or must be willing to complete within 5 days of employment.




• CIC or APIC certification a plus.
