Job Description:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for delivering the TrueCommerce message to targeted companies that have indicated a need for commerce software. This position requires great acumen in understanding each prospect’s unique business drivers, and consequently, adapting the TrueCommerce ROI and value proposition to each situation.


Business Development Representative Job Duties / Responsibilities:



  • Meet or exceed monthly lead generation quota as put forth by the company.

  • Love working via phone and social-based communication

  • Performing outbound identification and development of land and expand opportunities within assigned accounts


  • Inbound identification and development of land and expand opportunities within assigned territory


  • Act as safety net for leads passed that may have grown cold and re-engage with them.


  • Assess prospective client needs, determine value, and hand-off to TrueCommerce field sales resources for follow up and close


  • Maintain a pipeline of early stage leads


  • Identify key contacts in target accounts and research contact numbers and email addresses


  • Maintain customer lead/opportunity and all activity data in CRM system


  • Manage our nurturing programs to make sure communications are personal and relevant


  • Build strong communities within the territory base using digital and social channels

  • Use all tools provided like LinkedIn, Zoomed Info, Netsuite

  • Follow up with sales team members to ensure timely and accurate lead follow up.
