Your Responsibilities

As an Environmental Professional for John Deere located in Quad Cities (Davenport, IA, Bettendorf, IA, Moline, IL, Rock Island, IL), you will complete three 8-month rotational assignments (no relocation needed in between) to gain experience as an environmental professional in a manufacturing setting while continuing to develop technical skills and abilities. Each rotation will be located at a different John Deere manufacturing facility located within the Iowa/Illinois Quad Cities. Upon Completion of the rotational experience, you must be willing to relocate to another John Deere facility within the US. Within each rotational assignment you will:


  • Compile data, documentation, and correspondence to comply with environmental regulations and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct environmental audits to verify conformance with EMS standards and applicable environmental laws and regulations.
  • Conduct analysis of operational data and communicate to appropriate work group for awareness and any required remedial action.
  • Identify and manage projects related to environmental risk reduction and operational sustainability.
  • Develop and deliver relevant and effective training to employees.
  • The ability to respond to emergency situations that could occur inside or outside of standard working hours.

What Skills You Need


  • Work experience or internship as an environmental professional in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of environmental engineering topics and environmental regulations as they apply to manufacturing
  • Strong communication and demonstrated team collaboration skills
  • Project management experience
  • Must be willing to relocate to another John Deere facility within the US upon completion of the rotational experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Experience working in the environmental compliance field at a manufacturing facility
  • Experience with ISO14001:2015 Management System
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
