Job Description:

URW is looking for a Project Manager to join the URW New Ventures and Strategic Accounts team.  The New Ventures and Strategic Accounts Project Manager is a cross-functional business project leader in charge executing the strategic agenda of the New Ventures and Strategic Accounts team.

This role supports the Group Director of  New Ventures and Strategic Accounts to identify, frame and execute leasing projects, strategic business partnerships and Group initiatives. He/she plays a key role in the coordination and alignment of the team, through the facilitation of governance committees, process definition and improvement, organization of external and team events, etc.

The Project Manager, New Ventures and Strategic Accounts is uniquely positioned to enable major multi-national deals for URW. For this reason, knowledge of the URW group and experience in the business are key requirements for this role, as well as strong project management skills.

This position is based in the LA Corporate Office. However, given the Group scope of the role, he/she might be asked to travel within the United States and to Europe to participate in Group meetings and events and to support the Group Director as needed.

Responsibilities

The areas of activity of the Project Manager, New Ventures and Strategic Accounts include:


  • Managing the New Ventures and Strategic Accounts strategic project agenda

    • Define, with the necessary input from executives and USMT, USLT, Exec. Co., etc. the New Ventures and Strategic Accounts roadmap (aggregate country and corporate-level needs to define priorities for the year)

    • Work with executives to identify, frame and execute strategic partnerships and projects

    • Prepare business cases and executive review packs (including USMT, USLT, Exec. Co., etc. presentations) in coordination with internal stakeholders (other team members and other departments)



  • Coordinate New Ventures and Strategic Accounts operations on behalf of the Group Director

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities needed to evaluate and gain approval for new ventures e.g. ABCDs, 6As, etc.

  • Ensure appropriate coordination / alignment within the New Ventures and Strategic Accounts team by acting as an “information hub” and putting in place the necessary processes and meetings

  • Actively manage the global meetings as an executive alignment and decision-making body, by setting the right agenda and ensuring the engagement of all members

  • Structure and organize New Ventures and Strategic Accounts’ business and content creation, including external meetings (e.g. Mapic, ICSC) and internal events (e.g. Leasing Days, specific workshops, etc.)


  • Elevate the execution capacity of the Group Director

  • Project-manage the corporate and cross-functional initiatives the Group Director is driving for the Group / asked to contribute to (e.g. Agility Program, Big Moves, etc.)

  • Prepare the Group Director’s presentations at internal and external events (e.g. URW executive conventions, external representation events, etc.)

  • Observe organizational dynamics / areas of opportunity and advise the Group Director on strategies to make the New Ventures and Strategic Accounts team more effective (roles, processes, tools, etc.)

Given the unique nature and positioning of this role, the Project Manager, New Ventures and Strategic Accounts is expected to contribute to the identification and sharing of best practices at Group level through the learnings made from projects, negotiations, etc.

Qualifications


  • Education:
  • Graduate from top business / engineering school (preferred)
    • Master’s degree or equivalent (preferred)



  • Previous experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience in retail real estate, investments or project management

    • URW experience and understanding of the Group’s organization and strategy (preferred)

    • Active involvement in project management / strategy functions / consulting




  • Languages:

    • English (full professional proficiency)

    • Other URW Group languages are valued




  • Skills / competencies:

    • Strong business sense and ability to understand the Group’s strategy

    • Outstanding analytical / problem-solving / synthesis skills

    • Strong communication / interpersonal skills (capacity to convince and federate others)

    • High orientation to results and capacity to work in full autonomy

    • Ability to work in an international / intercultural environment.
