We are seeking a Field Engineer to join American Tower’s U.S. Tower division’s Agile organization.  Day to day you will install and maintain network equipment on telecommunication towers and commercial and residential sites. As a Field Engineer you will partner cross-functionally with the Company’s Network Operations Center and its Engineering and Sales departments.

Findlay/Lima, OH

Chillicothe/Circleville, OH

What You Can Offer Us

• Install and maintain equipment high off the ground on telecommunication towers and other structures.


• Install routers, power supplies, fiber, Cat5 cables, LPUs, radios, and dishes.


• Log into, upgrade, and program network equipment.


• Perform quality checks on equipment and at job sites and complete all pertinent paperwork and logs.


• Ensure truck and equipment are clean and in good working condition.


• Adhere to established safety guidelines while performing all tasks.


• Approximately 75% of the time the role will be performed outside of a conventional office environment.


• Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Comtrain certification preferred.


• Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, have a demonstrated safe driving record, and be able to travel extensively by car or truck.


• Ability to climb and work on high structures.


• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use additional Company software applications.


• 
  While performing the role you will need to lift as much as 50 lbs.


• Approximately 10% travel and overnight stays may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.


• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.


• Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.


• Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
