What We’re Looking For:  

We are seeking a Network Automation Engineer. The role will focus on developing components of a network automation framework. In this role the primary responsibility will be the development of automation in support of configuration management based on most requested network changes and needs within Operations and Network Engineering department. The technology mix includes Cisco Routers, NextGen Firewalls, Switches, Meraki Access Points, Cisco DNA, Netbrain, Cisco ISE, Solarwinds, F5 and ServiceNow.  Secondary responsibilities include performing network engineering tasks such as configuration, maintenance of LAN, WAN, Load Balancing and Security systems.  Ideal candidate will be a former Network Engineer now focusing on automation/devops. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and work well with other talented networking professionals.

 

 

Below are some of the key responsibilities of the role: 

·       Experience with designing and building automation systems/scripts for large, complex networks  consisting of Cisco Routers, NextGen Firewalls, Switches, Meraki Access Points, Cisco DNA, Netbrain, Cisco ISE, Solarwinds, F5 and ServiceNow.

·       Experience with Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, Restful API,  Chef, Puppet or Salt.

·       Familiarity with Terraform and Python with understanding of JSON and XML.

·       Designing, building and/or operating complex networks for data centers and/or WANs.

·       Experience in protocol and device testing and verification for production environments.

·       Experience in designing, configuring and troubleshooting common routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.

·       Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless technology and load balancing.

 

Experience and Qualifications: 

·       Excellent communicator with experience documenting and presenting technology concepts across technology teams/areas.

·       Bachelor's  Degree in Computer related field of study is preferred but not required.

·       Vendor Certifications in networking or programming is a bonus.

·       Team player and willingness to mentor other team members is required.

Ability to work in office in Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, or NY a plus
