The Operations Shift Coordinator, Facilities will work closely with the company’s Project Manager, the shift crews of multiple trade technicians and with Prime Contractor customers. Provides direct liaison with technicians to support coordinating shift schedules, facilitating movement to the job site, providing orientation to the job site, providing safety briefings, and supporting coordination for the technicians to access work areas. May support the scheduling of techs against the project time slots work with subcontractors ensure shift schedules are full.

Responsibilities:


  • Establishes working relationships with subcontractors to ensure schedule coordination.

  • Supports project manager in the delivery of needed personnel to the project

  • Provides on-site specific problem solving/support to PM, subcontractors, prime contractor and the technicians

  • Works with Project Manager and Project Controls to ensure subcontract invoicing aligns with actual scheduled work

  • Works with Technicians to help them understand their work areas

  • Supports technicians entry into work areas

  • Responsible for monitoring subcontractor/vendor attendance

  • Responsible for complying with Akima rules of Safety

  • Ensures all corporate and operational requirements and policies are adhered to at the project level

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Requires cursory understanding of facilities management

  • Requires experience and knowledge in contingency operations.

  • Requires experience interacting with foreign nationals and respect for foreign cultures

  • Ability to work legally in the US

  • Ability to pass background check and obtain access to US Military installations

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Strong problem solving skills, planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Strong communicator

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to function effectively as part of a team.

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto

  • College degree preferred
