POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:

Assist the Parts Inventory Manager to ensure proper care of materials, parts and supplies. Responsible for maintaining parts and supplies for maintenance department and community Self-Help Store.

POSITION DUTIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Repair and Maintenance Management


  • Manage inventory of materials, parts & supplies, and tools.

  • Maintains records, replenishes stock, and plans for future requirements based on priority & use, seasonal workload, and unforeseen events & projects.

  • Maintains supply store allowing for quick and safe retrieval of parts by technicians.

  • Maintain equipment, such as mowers, carpet cleaners, etc. on hand for residents temporary use, being able to demonstrate, maintain and repair such equipment.

  • Assists in operating Self-Help store, establishing a means for residents to obtain expendable household items, such as light bulbs, HVAC filters, etc., and handy-man items, such as paint supplies, light & outlet covers, etc. Responsible for maintaining seasonal items such as mulch, salt, top soil, grass seed, etc., also available at Self-Help Store.

  • Assist in the process of coding invoices and sending through to accounts payable for payment.

Report Management


  • Assists supervisor in keeping record on use of supplies and equipment by technicians, residents, and contractors/vendors.

Compliance


  • Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal laws; e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.

ATTENDANCE:

Regular attendance is required and willinclude weekend hours. Work beyond 40 hours per week may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in maintenance or construction.
