MANAGER, PET FINANCE

Location: Orrville, OH (Within 1 hour of Cleveland/Akron) Flexible work arrangements available

Reports To: Vice President, Pet Finance

Direct Reports: 1-2 Financial Analysts

The Manger, Pet Finance is a key leader in supporting our market leading Dog Treats (+$1B revenue) portfolio, including iconic brands such as Milk-Bone and Pup-Peroni. In this role you will be responsible for all financial aspects of the category, working with multiple cross-functional partners to support growth and create value. This role provides continuous developmental opportunities as a contributor and people manager, while also viewed as a key role for career growth within Finance and beyond.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Financial leadership and management to deliver maximum results for the Dog Treats category.




• Build trust and communicate effectively to support the team yet challenge when necessary with a financial fact-based perspective. Enhance the team's understanding of how to best use financial information to make decisions.




• Lead Financial Plan and Forecast process to align with our strategic agenda, ensure data integrity, and communicate assumptions clearly.




• Analyze SBA, Category & Brand financial performance and deliver insights to support business decisions.




• Perform pre/post launch new item analysis and provide financial guidance; analyze business opportunities and communicate scenarios/outlook.




• Lead financial aspects of Long-Range Planning for the category and the SBA (as needed) with cross-functional team(s).




• Maintain focus on business trends to deliver short and long-term objectives for the category. Develop understanding of category, consumer, and competition to drive decisions rooted in strategy




• Review pricing updates and new-product pricing for accuracy and acceptable profitability.




• Partner with Finance leadership as needed on M&A and integration related activities.




• Partner with Sales, Supply Chain and Operations Finance teams to ensure complete and accurate understanding of financial results and outlook; Partner with Brand marketing, Innovation and CCB to maintain understanding of competitive category, pricing and merchandising environment.




• Lead the skills and career development of one or a team of financial analysts.

SELECTION CRITERIA

MUSTS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required




• 6+ Years of experience




• Leadership role in commercial/business unit Finance (P&L Management, Plan & Forecast, LRP, etc.)




• Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions with cross-functional partners




• Passion for continuous improvement and growth mindset

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
